As a proud member of the underground horror film community, I have made short films that have a bit of a different edge to them. Knowing that there's a very large community of great horror film makers, I decided to make shorts that concentrate less on gore (which is the main focus of many the more the better), and made a point of giving my projects a feel of eeriness. The creepy feel is pretty apparent, and it's something that I am proud of. I grew up with the older horror films and as a fan I try and give an old fashioned feel to scary films. It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I figure a few folks out there would appreciate it. I might as well be straight forward with it and not deceive anyone. I know what it's like to have bought a product thinking it would be one thing and getting something I didn't pay for.
My short films are "The Awakening", "Mastermind", and "The Presence". The first two I reedited and they all can be seen on YouTube. As can the excerpts from my feature film.
The film is entitled "The Revenant". It is probably the biggest example of giving tribute to the legendary films that I grew up with. The first part plays out like a silent film and the rest of the movie is more modern, yet still has an old fashioned vibe to it. It's all in black and white and the pacing is moody and ominous. For fans of silent films, especially silent horror, this is definitely worth checking out. It's about as raw and DIY as a horror film gets, and that's kind of the charm.
It follows a man destroyed by a personal tragedy and with no other option chooses to side with a demonic force. And all in his path are at his mercy.
I hope you enjoy watching I hope you will show interest in future products!
